Overview:

Come and join us at the third annual Meliora International Symposium of Student Sustainability Research, held at the University of Southampton on 13 April 2018!  You can register here: https://meliora2018.eventbrite.co.uk/ or through the Facebook page.

Each year, students from across the UK and the rest of the world attend and present their research at this prestigious International Symposium, and have the opportunity to submit work for publication in the Meliora International Journal of Student Sustainability Research as part of a Symposium Special Edition.

The focus of the symposium is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students from all courses in every academic area can relate their work to the SDGs.  We confidently predict that your Research Dissertation relates to at least one of them! Take a look at all 17 SDGs. We know your research will be a perfect fit for the symposium, and as such this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your professional and academic skill set in an area working to make the world a better place.

If you wish to present at the Symposium you will need to complete a Presenter Application Form and indicate which of the SDGs your work relates to. N.B. You can present remotely via skype if you are unable to attend in person.  Please email meliora@soton.ac.uk if you have any questions at all about presenting your work – you can present initial findings if your work will not be complete by 13 April.

You can also apply to chair a session, join the social media team, be a judge, and be part of the event team on the day through the Meliora Symposium Team Form.  We welcome applications from Undergraduate and Postgraduate Masters students across all academic areas and from all universities around the world.  Please email meliora@soton.ac.uk if you have any questions about the symposium or our student research journal.  We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Southampton on Friday 13 April 2018.
