Project summary: The National Trust involve over 62,000 volunteers across our work. The majority of volunteers provide lots of support and stay with us a long time - however we know that most new volunteers can't afford to commit or interested in this. So as we look to provide more flexible ways to volunteer - our approach to managing relationships will also need to change.
We want to look at how we maintain relationships with current and former volunteers in between their volunteering and in particular after they have finished. How would like to keep in touch with the Trust? Would they be interested in doing more with us / support our cause - maybe not as a volunteer? What can we learn from other approaches to Alumni programmes? What are the mutual benefits of Alumni programmes? etc.
