Detailed summary: This dissertation explores the characteristic features of students' unions in the context of sustainable development, to uncover sustainability-related information representative of the national student body in the United Kingdom, through the utilisation and analysis of student representatives' manifestos. It further illustrates how the obtained information can form the foundation of a student-centred SD process, through constructing a five-stage process that comprises of mixed methodologies, involving both quantitative and qualitative data.
